Customers say

Customers find the LED bulb bright, with one mentioning it can be used for movie mood lighting, and appreciate its performance with Alexa devices and HomeKit compatibility. The bulb is easy to set up, with one customer noting it takes just 2 minutes to hook up. While some customers consider it worth the price, others find it too expensive, and the color quality receives mixed feedback with some customers noting it’s more yellow than white. It’s the benchmark smart bulb…
The recommended price for these bulbs is vicious. However, shop around and you can find them for around 45 bucks.Once you get over the sticker shock, you will find that these bulbs are very bright (I can believe the 1600 lumen claim), they don’t fail over time (like so many led bulbs do), they have a high 90+ color rendition index (that’s nice light to be in) at least in the white spectrum, they can reproduce almost any color of light, they connect quickly, behave reliably, and the hue bridge + app gives you tremendous control over how your lighting works. You can buy cheaper bulbs, but the Philips ecosystem works properly. My family are largely technophobes. They would not have anything to do with an app. However, these bulbs in combination with a Hue Tap and Dial switch, operate as easily as any ‘switch it on at the wall’ type lighting. The price will sting, but the results make it worthwhile.

Hue 100W Bulbs: Finally, the Perfect Brightness!
I’m a Hue enthusiast. My house is practically a Hue smart home, and I’ve been using their bulbs for over a decade. But I’ve always had one little gripe: the standard 60W bulbs just weren’t quite bright enough for some rooms. Well, problem solved! Philips Hue finally came out with 100W bulbs, and they’re a game-changer. I ordered a pack from Amazon, and with 2-day shipping, they arrived super quickly. These bulbs are exactly what I’ve been waiting for. They provide that extra oomph of brightness when you need it, but you still have the full dimming capability that Hue bulbs are known for. So, you can blast them at 100W when you need maximum light, or dim them down for a cozy ambiance. It’s the best of both worlds! Now, my living room and kitchen are perfectly lit, and I can still control everything from my phone.Honestly, these 100W bulbs are a fantastic addition to the Hue ecosystem. They’ve addressed my only real complaint about the system.Would I buy them again? Absolutely! In fact, I’m planning on replacing all my older bulbs with these 100W versions. If you’re a Hue user and have been wanting brighter bulbs, these are a must-have. You won’t be disappointed!

    A Bright Boy
Got this for a stairwell that had only 1 switch located at the top of the stairs so that we could combine with 2 Aurora rotart switches adding a second switch downstairs. No Hue Bridge and never using the Bluetooth/wifi functions on the App so can’t speak to any of those functions. The combo with 2 Aurora switches worked perfect. An expensive setup but cheaper and less permanent than running new wiring in a 140 year old house lol.It is definitely a bright bulb too and gives off more heat than other lower wattage Hue bulbs but that’s to be expected. With LEDs that heat should only shorten the lifespan of the bulb itself rather than be any kind of actual risk.Color temp is pleasant too – not too warm, not too cool – fine in daytime or evening in the hallway. Dims nicely with no flicker or stutters.

    Bright, but not 100W
It’s a Hue bulb, so it’s great, I haven’t found a bad Hue bulb. Amazing colors, easy to set up, it’ll last a few years minimum as all of my other ones have.My only qualm with this is it’s not a 100 watt equivalent to an incandescent bulb, particularly at a warm color setting. 75W maybe. That could also be most LED bulbs overselling themselves but I’m knocking a star off despite it being a solid and functional item.

    Perfect Porch Light
I use this bulb in ZigBee mode to automate a porch light in Home Assistant. It’s not rated for outdoor use but nobody has to know. Mine sits on 30% brightness for casual outdoor lighting and 50% for bad weather. I use 100% for doing stuff in the dark. It’s astonishingly bright at max brightness, I don’t even need a flashlight.Pros:-Everyone on the block turns porch lights on at night. I have mine on a schedule so my light will turn on even if nobody is home. I also have automations for adjusting the brightness when certain doors get manipulated.-Extremely bright at 100%-Cool gimmicks you can incorporate into your home security setup like making the bulb blink/flash. It also has a candle mode that makes the brightness waver.Neutral:-DIY needed to make the bulb do creative things. Bluetooth is limited, you’ll probably want a ZigBee system.-High cost per bulb unless you you get the white one with no color temp adjustment.Cons:-The color is literally not white, it’s much closer to yellow sunlight. You’re supposed to use this bulb indoors??? With this color temperature and brightness range it makes more sense to put these bulbs outside contrary to what the instructions say.

I am very disappointed as this looks to be a returned product. I should have known as the sticker holding it closed was not the normal “clear” sticker that Philips uses. Upon opening the box, I did not find a 16w 1600 lumen bulb. It is an 9.5w 800 lumen bulb instead. I have several of these bulbs already! And to make matters worse, it is the second generation bulb without Bluetooth. So this bulb does not match anything on the box!

this is just what we needed! the room is now nicely bright. We turn down the intensity in the evening. Be aware that there is no variation in colour temperature; you can only dim it, not make it cooler or warmer.I would have preferred having variable colour temperatures but the main goal is achieved.

  10. Issac Hinojosa Cruz

Especial para interior y exterior, los lumenes son iguales al de un foco led tradicional. El ambiente concentración saca el potencial del foco. Deberían hacer más estos focos que los ds 60w y 75w
